How can we help?

What you need

• Windows 10 or Windows 11, 64-bit (x64). macOS and Linux are not supported.
• About 860 MB of free space. The installer is about 504 MB.
• OBS Studio or TikTok LIVE Studio to show overlays in your stream.
• Internet to receive events from your LIVE and for updates. Local text-to-speech (TTS) works without internet.
• Processor and memory recommendations have not been set yet.

Install

1. Run the installer. The app is installed for your Windows user and you can choose the installation folder.
2. Start the app. In the current version the app asks for a license key the first time – see the guide License key and activation.
3. Add your TikTok username under "TikTok account". No password is needed.
4. Copy the scene address and add it to OBS Studio or TikTok LIVE Studio – see Browser Sources and scenes.

If Windows shows a warning

The installer is not code-signed. This is why Windows SmartScreen may show "Windows protected your PC". Only run the file if you downloaded it from the official link you were given. Then choose "More info" and "Run anyway". If you are unsure where the file came from, don’t run it – contact support instead.

How updates work

• The app checks for updates when it starts and then every few hours. You can also choose "Check for updates".
• When "New version available" appears, choose "Update now" or "Later".
• The file is downloaded and checked ("Verifying the download…"). Then choose "Install and restart".
• The app closes and restarts. A running TikTok connection is interrupted – so don’t update in the middle of a LIVE. Your settings and data are kept.

Error messages

"Could not reach the update server"

Check your internet and try again. A started download continues where it stopped.

"The update is not signed by the publisher and was blocked"

The app only installs updates signed by the publisher. Nothing was installed and your app is unchanged. Don’t install files from other sources – contact support if the message persists.

"The update information is broken" / "does not belong to this app" / "belongs to another channel"

The update was blocked for safety and nothing was installed. Try again later and contact support if it persists.

"The downloaded file did not match the signed checksum"

The file was deleted and nothing was installed. Choose "Try again".

"The downloaded file had the wrong size"

The file was deleted and nothing was installed. Choose "Try again".

"Could not save the file"

Free up disk space and try again.

"The last installation did not finish"

Try again. The downloaded file is reused if it is still intact.

"Could not start the installation"

The app is still there and unchanged. Try again.

If it says "Updates are not switched on in this version", that version doesn’t check for updates.

Updating and reinstalling

An update only replaces the program files. Settings, scenes, goals, license and other data are stored in your user profile and are not touched. The same applies if you reinstall the app on the same PC.

New computer or reinstalled Windows

Your data is stored on the PC, so it doesn’t move automatically to a new computer or a freshly installed Windows. You don’t need to buy the app again.

1. Save your license key somewhere safe before you change computers.
2. To bring your settings along: copy the app’s data folder. In the current version it is %APPDATA%\nordic-rise-live.
3. The license covers one computer under the license terms. How a license is moved to a new computer has not been decided – ask support before you activate on the new PC.

Removing the license from a computer

"Remove the license from this computer" only removes the key. Settings, goals, scenes and other data stay, and you can enter the key again. A license covers one computer under the license terms; how it is moved to another computer has not been decided.

"Not found" – the username can’t be found

LIVE status "Not found" and the message "This username does not exist on TikTok" mean the app can’t find the account.

1. Open "TikTok account" and check the spelling. Type the username without spaces.
2. If it is wrong: choose "Remove", type the correct username and choose "Add".
3. If you have several accounts added: check that the right one is marked "Active" (choose "Make active").

"Error" – the connection failed

Connection status "Error" is shown together with one of the messages below. In most cases the app retries by itself.

"TikTok is rate limiting requests – retrying later"

TikTok is temporarily accepting fewer requests. Wait a few minutes – the app retries.

"TikTok blocked the request – retrying later"

TikTok rejected the request for now. Wait and let the app retry.

"Network error – retrying later"

Check your PC’s internet connection.

"Could not get the status – retrying later"

The status couldn’t be read right now. Choose "Check now" or wait for the next check.

"The connection dropped" / "Reconnecting failed"

Choose "Disconnect" and then "Connect". Check that you are still LIVE.

EvoTok is an independent product and connects to TikTok LIVE through an independent connection. If TikTok changes its service, the connection may stop working temporarily. If the problem persists, contact support.

Two statuses

LIVE status

"Checking…", "Offline", "LIVE", "Not found" or "Unknown (error)" – whether your TikTok account is streaming right now.

Connection

"Disconnected", "Connecting…", "Connected" or "Error" – whether the app is receiving events from your LIVE.

Viewers, likes and gifts only appear once the account is LIVE and the app is connected. The sidebar shows "LIVE · Connected" or "LIVE · Not connected".

If nothing happens when you go LIVE

1. Check that LIVE status is "LIVE". If it says "Offline", the app hasn’t seen the stream yet – choose "Check now".
2. If the connection is "Disconnected": choose "Connect".
3. To let the app connect by itself: turn on "Connect automatically when I go LIVE".
4. If it says "Auto connect paused until this LIVE ends", automatic connection starts again at your next LIVE. Choose "Connect" to connect right away.

When the connection drops

If the connection drops, the app shows "Trying to reconnect…" and retries by itself. If that fails, see the guide The TikTok connection shows "Error" or "Not found".

Start in the app

The app shows whether the scene is actually connected under "Active scene":

"ACTIVE"

A Browser Source is connected to the scene. If it still doesn’t show: check in OBS that the source is visible (the eye icon) and not hidden under another source. The app can’t see whether the source is visible in OBS.

"NOT ACTIVE"

The scene is selected in the app but no Browser Source is connected – the scene is not shown. Add the scene URL again (see below).

"No overlays are shown: the connected scene has nothing switched on"

Switch on the overlays you want to show in the scene.

"All alerts are switched off" / "no connected scene has any alerts switched on"

Switch on alerts and make sure the connected scene has alerts switched on.

Add the address again

1. Keep the app running. Overlays are served by the app on your PC, so they only show while the app is running.
2. Choose "Copy URL" at "Scene URL for OBS" and paste the whole address into your Browser Source.
3. In TikTok LIVE Studio: use the address exactly as the app copies it, including the end. Don’t remove anything.
4. Give the source the size 1080 × 1920 so the scene fills the whole area.
5. Choose "Update Browser Sources" in the app to reload the sources right away.

Test without being LIVE

Use the scene’s test function in the app. It shows example data in the preview and in the scene’s Browser Source / OBS (alerts with sound). Nothing is sent to TikTok. Real events only appear when you are LIVE and connected.

How it works

• A scene is one Browser Source with the overlays you switch on. Add the scene URL once – changes show at once, without reloading.
• The scene is a 9:16 area of 1080 × 1920. Give the Browser Source exactly that size and the scene fills the whole source.
• Boss Fight can be added as its own Browser Source or as an item in a scene. Mob Rush has its own address that you add as its own Browser Source.
• Need a variant? Duplicate the scene. Changes to the copy never touch the original.

OBS Studio

1. Choose "Copy URL" at "Scene URL for OBS" in the app.
2. In OBS: click + under Sources and choose Browser.
3. Paste the address, set width 1080 and height 1920 and click OK.

TikTok LIVE Studio

1. Copy the address in the app the same way.
2. Add a Link source in TikTok LIVE Studio and paste the whole address, exactly as it was copied.

Has an element ended up outside the scene? Use the function in the app that moves elements that ended up outside the scene back onto it.

Activating in the current version

In the current Early Access version the app is activated with a personal license key.

1. Start the app. The "Activate" screen appears the first time.
2. Paste the whole key at "License key" – from NRL1 to the end.
3. Choose "Activate". The status should become "Valid".

Common messages

"The key has the wrong format"

Copy the whole key again, from NRL1 to the end, without anything missing.

"The key is not genuine or has been changed"

The key has been changed or doesn’t come from the publisher. Contact support.

"The key cannot be read"

Contact support for a new key.

Status "Revoked"

The license has been blocked, for example after a refund. Contact support if you think this is a mistake.

Status "Expired"

The license has expired. Contact support.

Good to know

• The license is stored on your PC and the app works without internet. A blocked license is detected the next time the app is online.
• Under "License and updates" you can see the license type and status.
• Don’t share your license key. It is personal and covers one computer.

• Paddle is the seller in the purchase and handles refunds. You request a refund through Paddle, for example through the support link on your receipt.
• Your statutory rights, such as the right of withdrawal and rights regarding defects, are not affected. Beyond them and Paddle’s terms we have no refund period of our own and offer no partial refunds.
• If a refund is granted, the license for that purchase is revoked. The app detects this the next time it is online. Other purchases are not affected.
• If the refund is denied you keep the license. A refund request alone does not revoke the license, and a disputed payment does not automatically revoke it.
